How much does a small move cost in Valencia?
A small move in Valencia costs, as an approximate guide, from 110 € for 2 hours of van with driver and 130 € if the driver also loads. With a second mover, 2 hours come to about 170 €. That is the price of moving a room, a studio or a few pieces of furniture and boxes within Valencia and its metropolitan area. We confirm the final amount in the quote, based on what needs moving, the floors and access.
Below: a price table by case, what fits in a van, why there is a 2-hour minimum and what you can do to make the move shorter.
Small move prices in Valencia by case
Reference rate: van with driver at 55 €/h, 2-hour minimum, and 20 €/h per mover. All approximate, VAT included.
| What you move | Usual time | Crew | Approximate price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10–15 boxes, suitcases and a couple of chairs | 2 h | Van only (you load) | 110 € |
| A student room (bed, mattress, desk, boxes) | 2 h | Van + 1 mover (the driver) | 130 € |
| A studio with little furniture | 2–3 h | Van + 1 mover (the driver) | 130–195 € |
| Sofa, washing machine and 10–15 boxes, 3rd floor without a lift | 3 h | Van + 2 movers (one is the driver) | 255 € |
Time runs from when the van arrives at the first address until unloading ends. The drive between the two addresses is included in those hours: within Valencia it is usually 15 to 30 minutes.
Why there is a 2-hour minimum
It is the question we get most: «it is a 15-minute drive, why do I pay for 2 hours?». Because the job is not just driving. The crew comes from their base, parks, loads, straps the load with belts and blankets, drives, unloads and goes back. Below 2 hours that trip does not pay for itself. If everything finishes in an hour and a half, you pay the minimum; if it takes three, you pay three.
Does the driver help with loading?
The driver drives. If the driver also loads and unloads, together with you, what two people can carry (boxes, suitcases, chairs, a small table), add 20 € for each hour of loading and unloading (in the city usually half the job time, minimum 1 hour). Worth knowing before you book:
- If you will be there and can help, a driver who also loads is usually enough for boxes and light furniture.
- If there is heavy furniture, appliances or stairs without a lift, add a mover: loading is faster and safer, and in total time it often costs the same or less.
- If you cannot carry anything (for health reasons, age or because you will not be there), say so when you ask for a price so a full crew comes.
What fits in the van
A large moving van (Sprinter or similar) easily takes:
- a whole room: a dismantled single or double bed, mattress, dismantled wardrobe, desk, chair and 15–25 boxes;
- a studio with little furniture;
- or a few separate items: a three-seater sofa, a washing machine and some boxes.
If in doubt, send a list or photos with your request. To count boxes, see the box guide by home size.
How to pay less
- Everything packed and by the door. Boxes closed, labelled and stacked near the exit.
- Dismantle beforehand what you can: table legs, headboard, shelves.
- Reserve parking outside the building at both addresses. Ten minutes looking for a space are ten paid minutes.
- Choose the time well. Early morning means less traffic and easier parking.
Only your belongings travel in the van: loads from different customers are never mixed. That is why the price is per hour, not per item.
When it is no longer a small move
If you are moving out of a two- or three-bedroom flat with large wardrobes, a kitchen and appliances, it is a full move: more hours and more movers. Prices by home size are in how much does a move in Valencia cost. And if you are a student moving just your room, see the student room move guide.
To get a price, send us both addresses, the floor and whether there is a lift, plus a list or photos of what needs moving: we give you an approximate price straight away and we confirm the final one before the day.
