Sagunto (Sagunt) has 73,416 residents (INE, 2025) and two urban centres about 5 km apart: the historic town and Port de Sagunt. For a move, they are not the same.
The historic centre lies below the castle; Port de Sagunt includes neighbourhoods such as Baladre, Sant Josep, la Vallesa, Fornàs and the Obrer quarter. On the coast are Almardà, Corinto and the Grau Vell, and inland estates such as Els Monestirs, La Pinada and Montpicaio. Canet d’En Berenguer, although next door, is a separate municipality.
To Sagunto Town Hall it is about 28.3 km and around 29 minutes without traffic via the V-21 and V-23; to Port de Sagunt, about 30.5 km via the V-21 and CV-309. By train, Sagunt/Sagunto station is on commuter lines C5 and C6. Note: the metro station called “Sagunt” is in the city of Valencia, not in Sagunto.
Sagunt Council processes public-road occupation (OVP) through its online office, and the form explicitly covers removals. It can be filed with an electronic signature or at the SAIC offices in Sagunt (C/ Camí Real 65) and the Port (C/ Progreso 37). The council is also working on a Low Emission Zone within its mobility plan: check its status before your date.
Sagunto is not part of EMTRE: its recycling centre is run by the Consorci Palància Belcaire on the Sepes estate (Av. Benjamin Franklin). It accepts bulky waste such as furniture. Opening hours differ between the consortium’s own pages, so confirm them before going; there is also a mobile unit.
