From the town centre to El Vedat

The town includes neighbourhoods such as el Poble Nou, el Xenillet, Sant Gregori, els Dominics and Benissaet, plus the historic quarter of l’Alter. Further west lie estates such as El Vedat, Cims de Calicanto, Mont-real and Santa Apol·lònia, with houses on their own plots. The Mas del Jutge and Toll i l’Alberca industrial estates host warehouses and businesses. A move to a house in El Vedat and one to a third-floor flat in the centre need different vehicles and timings.

From Valencia: 11 km on the CV-36

From Valencia’s Plaza del Ayuntamiento to Torrent Town Hall it is about 10.6 km and around 14 minutes by car without traffic, via Camí Nou de Picanya and the CV-36 (Autovia de Torrent). By public transport, Torrent and Torrent Avinguda metro stations serve Metrovalencia lines 2 and 7.

Parking the van: permit MOVI-005

To reserve street space, Torrent Council processes public-road occupation (MOVI-005) through its online office. Apply at least 7 calendar days in advance, or 10 if the street must be closed; paying the fee does not by itself grant the permit. Several streets in the historic quarter of l’Alter are pedestrianised, so unloading there needs more detailed planning.

Old furniture: recycling centres and collection

Torrent has two EMTRE recycling centres (ecoparques): Torrent I – Parc Central (C/ Sant Joan Baptista) and Torrent II – Toll l’Alberca. They open Monday to Friday 9:00–14:00 and 16:00–18:00, and Saturdays 9:00–14:00. Furniture is accepted within per-person limits: 100 kg a day and 200 kg a month, and up to 2 mattresses a day. The council also runs furniture collection by sector.
